Hello to all my readers. I hope you will enjoy reading about my life, my books, and my wonderful country.
I was born in Brisbane, the capital of Queensland, Australia, where I have lived all of my life. At the age of 5 my mother took me to my first ballet lesson, sowing the seed of a life-long passion for dance, which now continues with Egyptian Belly Dance. At the age of 19 I faced the first major decision of my life; would I join the newly formed Australian Ballet Company or marry the man I loved? I chose marriage and never regretted the decision. I have two wonderful sons, four grandsons and one grand-daughter. More recently a great grand-daughter and great grandson have been added to the family. Ours is a family that tends to marry young and bear children quickly.
Shortly after my marriage I established my own dance school. The first book I wrote, A BALLET LESSON, was a photographically illustrated guide to ballet technique for children. I sold my ballet school in 1989 when my husband and I decided we wanted to spend more time traveling throughout Australia. We had a large map of Australia on which we highlighted roads traveled. Our ambition was to fill the map with highlighter. We almost succeeded.
